I’m a PhD candidate at the Interactive Intelligence group at Delft University of Technology. My position is funded by the Dutch national ICT program COMMIT/. I currently work on making social media apps (especially those used to share location information) provide improved support for user values, through using Agreement Technologies such as social commitment models, to adapt to the user’s changing social context. Prior to that I obtained my master’s degree in Interactive Systems Engineering at the School of ICT, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2010.

Below are two videos, one of which highlight various parts of my research, while the second describes features of an intelligent location-sharing app we built for the COMMIT/ project. You can contact me at a [dot] kayal [at] tudelft [dot] nl, but preferably at skejter [at] gmail [dot] com.
